Sharon Azam
Sharon Azam has more than 18 years of experience working across the events sector, playing a key role in GovNet’s ongoing growth and development. Since joining the company in May 2006, she has worked across a variety of senior managerial roles, most recently being appointed Group Exhibitions Director in January 2024.
Her remit includes helping the company’s Executive Team to build a community offering that incorporates a portfolio of industry-leading face-to-face conferences and exhibitions. Sharon possesses substantial expertise in launching and growing events across multiple industry verticals, including the public sector, technology, justice, finance, education and infrastructure.
Sharon is a commercially-astute individual with a proven ability to strengthen teams and maximise company profitability. She has excellent communication skills with the ability to establish sustainable and profitable relationships with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
